Pinealon vs Semax — both Russian-developed, very different evidence bases
Semax is a synthetic analogue of a fragment of adrenocorticotropic hormone, with the larger published footprint of the two including clinical work conducted in Russia. Pinealon is a three-amino-acid bioregulator from the Russian peptide-bioregulator programme, with a much smaller and predominantly preclinical literature. They share a country of origin and nothing structural.
These get sold together and discussed as siblings. They are not related molecules, and the difference in how much is actually known about each is larger than most comparisons admit.
