Peptide prices. What research peptides cost per vial and per mg, and why.
Across the 54 compounds for sale today, a single vial starts at $36.00 and tops out at $147.00. Per milligram, the cheapest sits near $0.12, the middle of the catalog near $7.80, and the most expensive near $139.00. The gap is not noise. It is sequence length, synthesis difficulty, vial size and testing, and the sections below take them one at a time before the full table.
What moves the price
A tetrapeptide is a short synthesis with few failure points. A 39-residue sequence with unnatural residues or a lipid tail is many more coupling steps, more purification, and more loss along the way. Price per mg tracks that difficulty.
US cleanroom synthesis costs more than imported bulk material that is only filled or relabelled domestically. Suppliers rarely say which they sell. The certificate of analysis names the testing laboratory, which is the honest tell.
Independent HPLC purity and mass-spec identity on each production lot is a real cost per lot. Suppliers who skip it, or show one undated sample certificate, are cheaper for that reason.
Filling, labelling, testing and shipping cost about the same for a 5 mg vial as for a 50 mg vial, so the larger size is cheaper per mg. Compare sizes, not just sticker prices.
A labelled milligram figure can be gross weight including counter-ions and water, or net peptide. Net is the number that makes two prices comparable; ask which one a supplier states.
Two vials or more trigger the ladder below automatically. At 25 and 100 vials, published bulk brackets apply, and the wholesale program covers brands and labs beyond that.

Questions about peptide prices
- How much do research peptides cost?
- On this catalog, single vials run from about $12 to a few hundred dollars depending on the compound and the size. Per milligram, the spread is wide: short, simple sequences cost a few dollars per mg, long or modified sequences cost more. The table on this page shows the current per-vial and per-mg figure for every live product.
- Why do peptide prices vary so much between suppliers?
- Four things: where the peptide was synthesized, whether each lot is independently tested, how much of the vial is actually peptide rather than salt and water, and the size of the operation. A low sticker price with no lot certificate is not comparable to a tested lot, because you cannot know what quantity you received.
- What is a fair price per mg for a research peptide?
- Compare on price per milligram of stated net peptide, at the same purity threshold, with a lot certificate. Divide the vial price by the labelled milligrams. A larger vial of the same compound is almost always cheaper per mg, which is why the size ladder matters more than the headline price.
- Do prices drop with quantity?
- Yes, in two ways. Ordering two or more vials applies the quantity ladder automatically, with the cheaper vials discounted. At 25 vials and again at 100, the bulk brackets shown on each product page take over.
- Are the prices on this page current?
- This table is built from the same live catalog as the product pages and the cart and is refreshed about hourly, so it can briefly lag a change. The product page and the cart are always current, and the cart total at checkout is the binding number.
- Is a certificate of analysis included in the price?
- Yes. Every lot ships with a printed certificate from an independent US laboratory and the same certificate is published online, QR-linked from the vial. There is no separate charge for testing.
