ARA-290
Erythropoietin-derived 11-residue research peptide studied in neuropathy and tissue-protection literature.
ARA-290 is supplied by Bench Grade Peptides as a lyophilized powder in a sealed, lot-numbered vial, for laboratory research use only — not for human or veterinary use.
Its published Certificate of Analysis (lot ARA16-052026-7, analyzed May 14, 2026) is from Freedom Diagnostics, a third-party laboratory, and reports 99.31% purity by HPLC; every published lot is listed on the product's COA page. Vials ship at ambient temperature in protective packaging from Florida (Bench Grade Peptides LLC is registered in Dover, Delaware), with storage notes on the lot's certificate.
ARA-290 is an 11-residue synthetic peptide modelled on helix B of erythropoietin (CAS 1208243-50-8). It was designed from the observation that different surfaces of the erythropoietin molecule engage different receptor complexes, with the aim of isolating the helix-B surface as a research tool on its own.
The published research centres on the so-called innate repair receptor, a heteromeric complex of the erythropoietin receptor with the β-common receptor (CD131). Studies report that ARA-290 engages this complex without the erythropoietic signalling of the parent molecule, and the literature examines it in rodent models of tissue and peripheral-nerve injury.
For laboratory work ARA-290 is a defined, short sequence whose identity is confirmed by mass spectrometry against its expected sequence mass. Published lot certificates are listed on its COA page. It is supplied for laboratory research use only.
