Research peptide supply, made and tested in the United States.
A reference catalog of lyophilized synthetic peptides for research customers — contract research organizations, university and private laboratories, biotech and longevity companies, and qualified investigators. Not for human or veterinary use.
Lab grade and research grade are not regulated standards. For a US peptide supplier, the claim is checkable only through a per-lot Certificate of Analysis from an independent laboratory, published before purchase, whose lot number matches the vial. Use the COA verification checklist or browse the published lot dataset.
Bench Grade Peptides publishes 152 third-party Certificates of Analysis covering 45 of 55 live products in a public library, reporting HPLC purity and mass-spectrometry identity (issued by AV Analytics, Bioviridian, Chromate and Freedom Diagnostics; current testing by AV Analytics), and is registered in Dover, Delaware (legal address only) and ships orders from Florida to US addresses only.
Free standard shipping on every order. Same/next-business-day dispatch on in-stock lots · 3–5 business days standard transit · ships from Florida

Research reagent reference.
Lyophilized synthetic peptides, HPLC-verified per lot. Select a reagent to view its specification in the catalog.
Every lot has a paper trail.
Made in the USA
Solid-phase peptide synthesis in an ISO-7 cleanroom at a US facility, from vetted domestic and international API.
What made in the USA meanscGMP-certified manufacturing partner
Lyophilized and finished by our manufacturing partner under its cGMP certification. Every vial carries its lot number.
Independent HPLC verification
Every lot is HPLC + mass-spec tested by an independent third-party laboratory. Per-lot COA published on the product page.
What does “research grade” actually mean?
Nobody issues a research-grade certificate. It is a claim a supplier makes about itself, which is why the document behind it matters more than the phrase.
Research grade · lab grade · laboratory grade
Used interchangeably across this industry, and none of them is a single regulated or industry-wide certification. Two suppliers can both write “research grade” and ship materially different purity. The phrase tells you what a vial is sold for, not what is in it.
Why one purity number is half a claim
HPLC area-percent is the standard figure, and it measures the target peak against everything the detector saw at the analytical wavelength — so counter-ion salt, residual solvent and water never appear in it at all. The other half is peptide content by mass. Ask any supplier, us included, for both.
Grades that are not this
Technical and industrial grade generally describe material sold against a manufacturing specification, and reagent or biochemistry grade against an analytical one. The terms are not standardised, and a specification on its own says nothing about whether the individual lot you were sent was measured.
The only version of the claim worth anything is a per-lot certificate from a laboratory that does not work for the seller, published where you can read it before you buy rather than supplied afterwards on request. Current lots are published in the certificate library; older ones rotate out and are available on request.
Questions buyers ask about grade.
- What does research grade mean for a peptide?
- It is a claim rather than a single regulated certification, so two suppliers can both use the phrase and ship materially different purity. What makes it checkable is a per-lot certificate of analysis from a laboratory independent of the seller, stating the method, the conditions and the measured result.
- Is lab grade the same as research grade?
- In practice yes — research grade, lab grade and laboratory grade are used interchangeably across this industry and none is a single regulated standard. Technical and industrial grade generally describe material sold against a manufacturing specification rather than an analytical one.
- What purity should a research peptide be?
- A purity figure is only meaningful when it names its method and conditions, such as HPLC area-percent at a stated wavelength. Area-percent alone is half the picture: it cannot see counter-ion salt, residual solvent or water, so a complete claim also needs peptide content by mass.
- How do I verify a supplier's purity claim?
- Ask for the certificate covering the specific lot you were sent rather than a sample document for the product line, and check that the issuing laboratory is independent of the seller. A certificate produced only after purchase, on request, is weaker evidence than one published beforehand.
What does every COA carry?
Published per lot, opened by the QR code on every vial label.
