Research peptides made in the USA. And how to check that anyone means it.
Almost every research peptide supplier in America says “made in the USA.” Very few say which part. The compound can be synthesized overseas and only filled here, or only labelled and shipped here — and both are commonly described with the same three words. This page states our chain in full, and gives you the one document that settles it for any supplier, including us.
“Made in the USA” means three different things
When a research peptide is described as American-made, it is usually one of these. Only the third describes a domestically manufactured compound.
- 01Shipped from the USA
The compound is synthesized overseas and arrives in bulk. A domestic warehouse repackages and posts it. Marketing calls this “US based” or “ships from the USA”. It describes a postcode.
- 02Filled in the USA
Bulk material is imported, then vialled and lyophilized domestically. The vial is American. The peptide inside it is not. This is the most common arrangement in this market.
- 03Synthesized, filled and tested in the USA
The peptide chain is assembled domestically, filled domestically, and verified by a domestic analytical laboratory. This is what Bench Grade does, and it is the only one of the three where the compound itself is American-made.
How to check any supplier — including this one
Ask for the Certificate of Analysis for the exact lot number printed on the vial you are being sold. Not a sample certificate, not a representative one. A real per-lot COA names the analytical laboratory, the date, the lot, and the method used. If what comes back is an undated PDF with no lot number, the claim cannot be checked, and a claim that cannot be checked is marketing.
Our certificates are published before you buy rather than emailed after. Every lot we have released is in the public library, with the issuing laboratory named on each one.
Common questions
- Are these research peptides made in the USA?
- Yes. Every Bench Grade reference standard is synthesized in a US ISO-7 certified cleanroom and filled and finished at a US facility operating under cGMP-aligned procedures. Analytical testing is performed by an independent US-based laboratory, and the resulting Certificate of Analysis is published per lot.
- What does “made in the USA” actually mean for a peptide?
- It can mean three different things, and most suppliers do not say which. A peptide can be synthesized abroad and only filled domestically; it can be synthesized abroad and only labelled and shipped domestically; or it can be synthesized, filled and tested domestically. Only the third is meaningfully American-made. Ask a supplier which of the three they mean, and ask them to put it in writing.
- How do I verify a supplier's made-in-USA claim?
- Ask for the Certificate of Analysis for the specific lot number on the vial you are buying, not a sample COA. A real per-lot certificate names the analytical laboratory, the date, the lot, and the method. If a supplier can only produce an undated PDF with no lot number, the claim is unverifiable. Bench Grade publishes every lot certificate publicly, so it can be checked before purchase rather than after.
- Are most research peptides made in China?
- A large share of the raw peptide sold in this market is synthesized overseas and repackaged domestically, which is why so much marketing says “US shipped” or “US based” rather than “US synthesized.” Those phrases describe a warehouse, not a synthesis. The distinction is visible on a Certificate of Analysis, which names the laboratory that actually ran the test.
- What is the difference between US-made and US-shipped peptides?
- US-shipped only tells you where the parcel originated. US-made describes where the compound was synthesized. A supplier can ship from a domestic warehouse while sourcing entirely imported material, and many do. Bench Grade states the chain explicitly: US synthesis, US fill, US analytical testing.
- What testing is performed on every lot?
- Every production lot is analyzed for HPLC purity, mass-spec identity confirmation, and heavy-metal screening at an independent US-based analytical laboratory. A Certificate of Analysis with a QR-traceable lot record ships with every vial and is also published in the public COA library.
The catalog
Every compound we list is synthesized, filled and tested through the chain described above, and ships with the certificate for its own lot.
