Epitalon

Pineal tetrapeptide bioregulator studied in telomere and aging-related research.

Epitalon — also spelled epithalon — is a four-amino-acid peptide (Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly) developed as a synthetic version of epithalamin, a pineal-gland extract studied for decades in Russian gerontology programs. It is one of the shortest compounds in the catalog and one of the most searched in longevity research.

The published work centers on telomerase activation in cultured human cells, circadian and melatonin rhythm effects in aged animals, and lifespan studies from the Russian cohort literature. Much of that record predates modern publication standards, which is precisely why contemporary labs re-examine it with better-controlled designs — and need verified material to do it.
