GLP-1 S

Single-receptor incretin class agonist studied in incretin-pathway metabolic research.

GLP-1 S is Bench Grade's catalog designation for a long-acting synthetic analog in the GLP-1 receptor agonist class. Native GLP-1 — glucagon-like peptide-1 — is an incretin hormone released by intestinal L-cells after a meal; it potentiates glucose-dependent insulin secretion, slows gastric emptying, and signals satiety through receptors in the hypothalamus.

The analog class this compound belongs to modifies the native sequence for protease resistance and albumin binding, extending a half-life measured in minutes into one measured in days. That pharmacokinetic difference is what made the class the most studied peptide family of the last decade, and it is why receptor-signaling, metabolic-pathway, and appetite-circuit laboratories keep standard reference material on hand.

Bench Grade supplies GLP-1 S as lyophilized powder with per-lot HPLC verification. It is research material for receptor and metabolic studies — not a pharmaceutical product, and not a substitute for one.

Research use only. Everything on this page describes laboratory research. This compound is supplied strictly for in-vitro research use; it is not approved by the FDA for human or veterinary use, and nothing here is a protocol or a recommendation.
