Sermorelin
29-residue GHRH analog. Studied as a research probe of the somatotropic axis.
Sermorelin is GRF(1-29) — the first 29 amino acids of native growth-hormone-releasing hormone, which turn out to be the shortest fragment retaining full activity at the GHRH receptor. It has been an endocrine-research staple for decades, long enough to have accumulated an unusually mature literature.
Because it reproduces native GHRH signaling with a short half-life, sermorelin is the classic tool for studying pulsatile GH release and pituitary responsiveness — experiments where a long-acting analog would flatten exactly the dynamics under investigation.
Its long history also makes it one of the best-characterized peptides for identity verification. Bench Grade lots are HPLC-verified with published Certificates of Analysis.
